I tweaked this recipe after going to Thailand and falling in love with all things – Soy Sauce.
This quick and flavorful honey soy sauce chicken is packed with sweet, savory, and slightly spicy flavors.
I usually use chicken thighs since they’re soft, aromatic ginger-garlic paste, and green capsicum, this dish comes together in just 20 minutes—perfect for a busy weeknight dinner/lunch. If you want to make this recipe super healthy, then just use Chicken Breasts instead.

minutesIngredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or sesame)
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 capsicum (bell pepper), sliced (any color)
1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
2 tablespoons water (if using cornstarch)
Sesame seeds & chopped green onions (for garnish)
Directions
- In a bowl, mix chicken pieces, soy sauce, honey, ginger-garlic paste, and black pepper. Add chopped Thai Red Chillies if you want a little heat. Let it sit for 5 minutes while you prepare the vegetables.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Toss in the sliced capsicum and stir-fry for another 2 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- I am currently using this deep-frying pan to make any stir-fry, it’s awesome!
Notes:
✔ Use high heat – This ensures a quick sear and locks in flavors.
✔ Adjust sweetness – Add more honey for a sweeter taste, or reduce it for a more savory dish.
✔ Try different veggies – Swap capsicum for broccoli, carrots, or snap peas for variety.
Storage & Reheating
Reheat: Warm in a skillet or microwave with a splash of water to prevent drying out.
